Polar Bear
The fur around a polar bear's paw is visible in its tracks in the snow. The bottom of the paw is completely furred. The pads of their feet are covered with small, soft papilla which increases their friction on the ice. The pads of all bears function to dissipate heat (thermoregulation). scottdavisphotos.com
